Friday brought a bunch of new experiences: I figured out some new effects in Adobe After Effects, did some Rock Climbing, and finally got VIP treatment at the premiere of Watchmen in San Francisco.
Unfortunately, I cannot tell you how I was able to get into the premiere with VIP status, but I can tell you what I thought of the movie.
Now, if you haven’t read the graphic novel, go ahead and grab it before you watch the movie, but only read the first part so as to familiarize yourself with the characters. After you watch the movie on the 6th, then go ahead and finish it. I only say this because by reading the first part, you’ll see that the movie is very close to the graphic novel. However, there are some aspects that are not in the graphic novel due to the constraints of productions. That’s not to say the movie wasn’t great. I don’t know how die-hard fans feel about it, but I enjoyed every bit of it.
At the premiere, the novel’s artist, Dave Gibbons, was present and gave a little speech about the movie. That was cool… Although I personally didn’t recognize him…
Anyway, I don’t want to spoil the movie, but be on the look out for special little tid-bits, like the posters that came from the novel, and the ever-so-famous Apple commercial being shown near the end. It’ll be worth every bit of cash you pay for it. Till next time!

Well I can say whatever I want on this one but I mean just read the comic. i guess wen i get back ill edit it but i was in a hurry so. Oh yea ty for puttin that image in there. I also got three pins with the little comedian happy face on ‘em. Want one? Too bad. More extensive coverage from the event to come.
